Due to COVID-19 pandemic effect on transport system in all over the country
Everyone is struggling to find a vehicle to move from one location to another location. In this situation the government has decided to conduct the NEET and JEE exams.
According to the latest news, more than 15,00,00 candidates have registered for Neet 2020 exam.
Indian Institute of technology IIT Bombay’s Five student have came up with the brilliant idea and they have developed a web portal to help candidate appearing for national eligibility come entrance test ( NEET )and joint entrance examination (JEE )for finding transport to their test centres
Edu ride is the name of the portal which connects candidate across the country
with the help of volunteer they can arrange the vehicles or they can drive and reach to their respective test centres.
The candidate can simply login to the EduRide portal and after filling the details of located residence. This information of is sent to volunteers so that those details get matched with the appropriate volunteers who belongs to the network of students and alumni of various IITs.
While talking about this EduRide Portal Kriti Kamna side that, “we take a preference for a volunteer and he or she could either drive the student or arrange a vehicle for the student EduRide portal tries to map a suitable students from a particular area to a volunteer from the same area.
The whole launch Edu ride on Saturday and surprisingly the portal is receiving almost more than 200 entries in a day for seeking of transport
The NEET and JEE exams are scheduled in September after receiving the Supreme Court order they have allowed the central government to conduct physical examination but one of the main problem to the candidate is the lack of transport facilities due to Effect of Covid pandemic and lock down procedure to reach their centre on time.
By taking the note on this problem the EduRide portal has come up with the solution to overcome the transfer problem. IIT Bombay director Subhash is Choudhary said in order to help the JEE and NEET candidates in various locations across the country several students and aluminium at its including those of IIT Bombay have come forward to connect needy candidates with the volunteers willing to help in transport only through the online portal HTTP://eduride.in
We appeal to and request to the volunteer to provide the required help to the needy candidate in their neighbourhood.
Kamna is studying in final year of electrical engineering at IIT Bombay she said, “we can’t process each and every request with a guarantee but we are definitely Striving towards it.”
She also said that while the portal will do its best in finding a transport for such a distressed candidate, they should also have a backup option ready.
